9:30 am - Sunday School for children/Adult Forum
10:30 am - Holy Eucharist, Rite II
Rite 1 is a traditional, or Elizabethan English, service of the Holy Eucharist. It is a quiet service, with no music, and a smaller congregation. It provides a time for prayer in an atmosphere of quiet and contemplation. All ages are welcome.
Rite II is a contemporary English service of Holy Eucharist with the choir (and sometimes children's choir, bell choir, etc.). Expect a larger congregation and more children.
Children's Chapel, on the second floor of the Parish Hall, is available for children age three to seven during the program year. There is no Children's Chapel in the summer. Parents may choose to have their children participate in lieu of the first part of the 10:30 am service in the sanctuary. The program is about 30 minutes and children are led back into the church during the announcements to join their parents and the congregation for the communion.
There is a service of Holy Eucharist at Westminster-Canterbury on the first and third Thursdays each month at 10:30 am in their chapel.
Be sure to pick up a bulletin from the ushers. It will help you follow the service in the Book of Common Prayer, find the hymns, and will include the announcement insert.
Large print prayer books and hymnals are available from the ushers. They can also provide age-appropriate worship materials for children. All buildings are handicap accessible and smoke-free.
